COVID-19 FAQ

Is Algoma Manor closed to non-essential visitors?

Algoma Manor is currently allowing for family visits. For all visitation inquiries kindly contact our Visitation Coordinator at extension 120.

Am I able to visit my loved one?

Yes.  All visitors must have a negative COVID-19 test prior to visiting or must provide proof of vaccination. For more information please contact our Visitation Coordinator at extension 120.

Can we take our loved ones outside the home?

All resident absences from the home must be approved or denied by the home. This means that you must provide a detailed outline of the planned event that is subjected to approval by the home.

Where can I find proof of my COVID-19 Vaccine?

You can print and download your COVID-19 vaccine receipt directly from the https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/ or by contacting Public Health. Please view the Public Health website for more details.

Does Algoma Manor have any cleaning protocols in place?

We have upped our regular cleaning by introducing a new shift, additional staff, and we are cleaning every hour on all high traffic touch-surface points.

Will I need to be screened?

Yes. All visitors, family members, contractors and staff must be screened prior to entrance.

Are residents participating in group programming?

Residents are able to participate in group programming of up to 5 residents. All residents must be socially distanced.
