As a valued member of the team the Support Worker demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality care in accordance with the organization’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
The Support Worker is accountable for reporting any changes and/or immediate concerns regarding a resident to the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) immediately. Support Workers are responsible for knowing their personal limitations and are not to assume more responsibility than can be safely handled – given one’s area of expertise and restrictions / limitations as outlined by the Executive Director. The Support Worker is accountable for being aware of any emergency procedures and responsibilities they may hold during an emergency situation.
Starting wage is $18.00 as per our CUPE Collective Agreement.
